In this work Professor Kamali makes a special effort to bridge the gap between the theory and practice of this evidently important aspect of the Shariah, and what he writes is not explored in the existing literature in the English language on maqasid. It is written in an easy style with many practical examples that makes the subject accessible to the average educated reader.
